Is it true that all people have a story to tell? A reporter and a photographer sit down on a bench somewhere in Stockholm. Their mission is to make an article about the first person that takes a seat next to them.
Bänken (the Bench) is a bi-annual poster magazine. One page tells the story of the central character. On the other page, photographers, artists, illustrators and writers get to make their own free interpretations of said person’s life.
The third issue features Doris, 74. Sitting on a bench by Karlaplan Doris shares stories of everlasting love, her sanatorium stay, and what it’s really like winning a poetry slam contest.
